Photo of the Day: A little snippet of my outfit from Friday. I picked up this watercolor dress by Gianni Bini at Goodwill for $5…and it was in perfect condition?! Macklemore would be proud. The pink necklace is from a boutique in Abilene, Texas.

What I Wore: Photographer Style
Sweet mirror pic, right? The DSLR makes it even better.
I shot photographs for a formal event a few weeks ago, and I struggled with figuring out what to wear. Pants would have been ideal (for rolling around on the floor getting a good shot purposes), but I didn’t feel like they were formal enough. Luckily, I picked this dress up from H&M in England on my trip! For a cool 10 pounds, this silky dress with delicate beading on the sleeves was perfect. The thigh/leg area was roomy enough and long enough for me to move around easily and even kneel on the floor.
The only thing that this outfit needed was a silver belt, perhaps like the one I spotted at BCBG a few weeks ago! It was plated silver and had intricate stones formed into flowers.
Dresses on a Plane (Not Snakes)
(Look, Ma, a post not about running!)
I’ve really been trying to do less needless shopping in order to save up money for my England trip in 6 short weeks. But I have been looking for one item in particular for my trip: a traveling dress.
Since my British Airways flight will last a cool 8 hours, I won’t want to be wearing awful stuff like real pants. So I’ve been scouting out a comfy dress to wear on the flight that will both allow me to snooze and then allow me to look fab for B when I stumble off the flight.
“But wait, Sydney!” you cry. “England is super cold in March! You’ll freeze in a dress!”
Hold your horses. I’ve got a plan. First, you gotta see the dress.

ADORABLE, right? It’s made of jersey cotton and it’s clingy without being tight. To stay warm, I’m adding some tights under boots. And, since the dress is a neutral (all part of my secret plan), I can pair it with any color scarf, cardigan, or jacket.
I wore it last night to formal meal and everyone said I looked like hot stuff. Are you ready for this hotness, B?! I don’t think so.
How about that dress! (via Vintage-glam-2.livejournal)
So unique! I love the purples.
I went thrifting today!
Buffalo Exchange, off Greenville Avenue and McCommas Boulevard in Dallas, is where these three excellent pieces came from. I never intended on wearing them all together, but the pop of color in the fuschia really brightens up the dress. And that print? So cute. The tights are blue, which I didn’t discover until I got home, but I think that makes me like them more. They’re more of an indigo-blue, so they’ll go with lots of my purpley clothes.
All of this? $35.
I think I found my Christmas outfit.
(Now, to find shoes…this outfit beckons purple suede pumps, but alas, they’re in Norman.)
